In Maryland
| Direct shipment prohibited
and punishable as a felony commencing October 1, 1999. Violation
is punishable by a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not
exceeding 2 years or both. Individual may bring into state tax
free one quart at a time but not more than two quarts per calendar
month. One gallon is permitted tax free from certain U.S. possessions,
and one gallon from outside continental U.S. provided application
forms are submitted and tax paid on portion above one quart. (¶¶7020,
