Adults permitted to ship or bring into state from a foreign country, without payment of tax or markup, quantity of alcohol exempt from payment of duty by federal law; importation of larger quantities permissible upon payment of tax and markup. Adults permitted to bring into state from another state a reasonable amount of alcoholic beverages. Tax and markup must be paid upon all alcohol brought from other states, and prior authorization must be obtained from the Washington State Liquor Control Board, Liquor Purchasing Agent, 1025 East Union Avenue, Olympia, WA 98504. (¶¶7295, 7297, 4701-4703)(R.C.W §§66.12.110,66.12.120; W.A.C.§314-68-010, et seq.).

Effective July 28, 1991, not more than two cases of wine of its own manufacture per year, to any state resident twenty-one years of age or older. A license must be obtained from the Washington state liquor control board. Advertisement is prohibited. (Chapter 149, Laws 1991, added to Chapter 66.12 RCW)(¶¶8109-8113).
